Default sword Id help plz

I have a old sword that I bought at an auction about two years ago and would like some help finding out what I bought.
I am thinking its a German sword of some kind because of the markings on the blade but I have no clue on what era it's from. Here are a few pics of the sword in question.

Thanks,
Bill Godbold

Go to the link below, go almost exactly halfway down the page, and look at.....
"07-81 OFFICERS, OFFICIALS, OR COURT DEGEN."

Look at the extra images on that page by using the link there,
which says....

Here is the link to the page.

Thanks for the help Pickenup.
My sword looks just about like the "07-81 Officers,Official,or Court Degen.Only thing I see that is different is my scabbard,Mine does not have a loop on it nor does it have the same bottom on the scabbard...
I was looking on the link you gave me and found another sword that looks like the one I have minus the etching, but the scabbard is the same as the one I have.
My scabbard is in poor shape so I only took a picture of the brass end.
here is the picture

The sword I am talking about that looks like mine is the 07-103 KÜRAßIER LINE-OFFICER STICHDEGEN - PRUSSIA.The only differences is mine has etching and this one does not....

Thanks agin for the help..

I think you pegged it, Pick! Plum, you could have a rather valuable piece there, assuming it is genuine. It certainly does look like a formal Prussian sword considering the elaborate decoration on the blade.

Well,I still have not figured this sword out.It could be a German Infantry Officer sword like the one they sell on the WKC website(yep, they are still around) or it could be a Court sword for ceremonial purposes or a Prussian foot officer sword..
I have taken a few more pictures of the etching on the blade and found a few symbols that may help..

Thanks again for your time and help.

Sorry Bill, I do not know enough about "symbols" to nail it down.
While it is not likely, the scabbards could have been changed at some point.
