I am not really certain, but I am guessing it is a large ring. That is an area where I was always fuzzy in distinguishing large and small ring. A lot of mausers have passed through my collection, but I wouldn't be certain as to how to tell.

I have one and it is a large ring mauser. Are you coinsidering modifing it?

Still thinking about a 257 Roberts for the other .5 (mesen) would an Argentine be a good candidate for the action?
