This is the Star Model 1921. The Spanish Civil Guard did not like the safety on the slide as on the Star Model 1920, and reqyuested it be moved down on the frame. Star decided to add the grip safety like a Colt. The Spanish Civil Guard did not like the grip safety, so the Model 1921 lasted only one year.
