Son in Law gave me a set of knives for Xmas,, Wal mart special,,
http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...uct_id=7977518 so what do I do with them? use them or put them up and just forget about them ? I am not a collector,, have no idea why he choose this,, but anyway. Thanks for you ideas in advance.

I think that's a personal decision...I've been given cheap knives as gifts that I've used at work, but in my opinion it just depends on who the giver was.
On the other hand, I once gave my father in law a really nice medium sized knife and while using his truck one day I found it in the door compartment...I could tell he had been using it and it made me feel good to know that he didn't just re-gift it to one of his sons or employees. Crpdeth

90% of the work I do with a pocket knife involves opening packages. A cheap knife works fine for me. I keep my 25-yr-old Schrade for the tougher stuff - cutting rope, etc.
