I just picked up one of these at Canadian Tire(think walmart with a more rugged edge). It's a Gerber Torch 1, with a 2.7" 440A blade. It weighs 3.2oz, has a pocket clip and that cool finger gaurd protrudes from the back of the knife when it is closed and helps in one handed opening. Overall after three days of carrying it, I'm liking it. My only problem with it so far is the lock, it is dang hard to operate one handed to close the blade, not enough of a lip to hook a finger on and it is very stiff. My Schrade Cliphanger is much easier to operate. I do love a Tanto style blade though.

I haven"t handled that knife, but it looks good. I have been leaning to
Kershaw lateley. I have several lock blades with assisted opening, they are great. with a lock release that is very secure in use and easy to unlock and close with 1 hand. Every day use is a leatherman-drop point with half serrated and thumb stud open-screwdrivers and bootle opener simple and usefull for a simple construction worker |
