Iver Johnson Revolver Questions - Page 6 - The Firearms Forum

Hi - I'm looking for help trying to pin down the date of a Iver Johnson revolver. It is a Target Sealed 8 model by I. J. A. & C Wrks. This revolver was given to my father when he was around 10 years old or so by his older brother and according to my father "it was old when it was given to me."

I know there is no real value in this revolver, but dad has put 1000s of round through it was a boy and we'd both like to know when it was made.

Any help or suggestions you could give me would be appreciated.

The serial # is N404XX

this target sealed 8 serial number N404??? was manufactured about 1952 or 1953. the target sealed 8 model 68 was introduced in 1932 and was replaced in march of 1955 by the model 55.
