Default Grips for CZ-82

Quick question for you CZ guys out there. Will the standard grips for a 9x18Makarov CZ-83 also fit a CZ-82? I'm told that the mechanicals are virtually identical (in fact mostly interchangeable), especially when considering the same caliber (the C-82 is apparently only available in 9x18 Makarov while the CZ-83 (the export version) is available in several Western caliber along with the Eastern Bloc 9x18 Mak.

Thanks,

-->

I think so, the only difference is that the 82 was supposed to be 9mm Makarov(9mmx18) and for military use and the 83 was supposed to be in 9mm Kurz/.380acp(9mmx17) and commercially aimed for civilians.

I'd bet you a quick 500 bucks they aren't if I could. No. Those are pretty distinctively different designs. More to the point, the CZ-82 uses a double column mag and the PM (Makarov) uses a single stack mag. You'll find the Czechs made a point of designing their own distinctively different weapons during the Soviet period. Rarely will anything but the cartridges themselves be interchangeable with gun designs from the USSR.
