For the above, and for other reasons, it astounds me that Obama has reached the point he has in this election process. It goes far beyond the color of his skin.....it is the things he has written, said and associated himself with that has me questioning why this man has the following and (apparent) support he has. Do so many Americans have such guilt; guilt that the liberal Democrats and liberal media have piled upon them that they follow this man to assuage that guilt? I do not feel that guilt nor am I ashamed not to feel guilt or express that fact that I feel no guilt.

Pustic, did you read Snope's comments on that Obama e-mail? Most of those statements are either false or misleading.

I personally see Obama as someone who has done relatively little lying during his campaign. Instead, he's generally chosen to hide his positions, knowing that they are drastically different than the average American.
He's had tremendous success with an unnamed "change," so why would he want to go into the details?

I agree with you, CampingJosh. I don't think he has been lying so much as he has been skirting around the issues and talking in rather elusive terms. I have no doubt that he is one of the most liberal and socialistic candidates we have been subjected to, but he and his handlers are not stupid. They have crafted a campaign that has grabbed the attention of the "I don't have it and I want it" types and those who are true subscribers to socialism.

He has a charisma and a speaking ability that has gotten the attention of a lot of people. I also believe that his popularity to some extent is due to the success of the liberals in convincing a substantial amount of our citizens that they must pay for past wrongs inflicted on blacks and that debt must be paid for by electing a black president. The libs have convinced a significant portion of our white population that they share the blame for events and wrongdoings that took place long before they were born.

Those who tell me I am prejudice for not supporting Obama I simply answer by saying, "It's not his race stupid, it's his politics."
