Default Barrel breakin

I just bought a savage mark 2 mako 22LR I was wondering how I should breakin the barrel and if it is wise to treat the barrel with militec-1 before or after?? http://www.militec1.com/

.22 Rimfires are different animals than their centerfire brethren. You don't do a breakin process like you would for a centerfire rifle. Anschutz manuals direct you to clean after the first 500 rounds and then after every 5000 rounds. Way more .22 Rimfires have been ruined by cleaning than have every been retired by shooting. Shoot it and leave it alone unless you happen to get some foreign material in the barrel, such as moisture.
