Default Poll

Let's find out what you guys would like for a light weight, small, go everywhere in any season handgun. I have several handguns that are really great so CCW but are either too heavy, too big, too bulky, etc. So I started to think about what I could carry EDC regardless of weather, temp or clothing. I know that these are probably thought to be "mouse guns" but at my age, just HAVING it is what is important. Just a few choices are:

1. Kel-Tec, Ruger LCP, in .380

2. S&W snubbie light weight, .38 spl

3. Kahr, Kel-Tec etc. 9mm

4. Other suggestions along these lines

Sorry, I never have posted a Poll before and I guess I messed it up. Didn't know there was a form.........Anyway...

I intend to purchase a S&W .38 for the very reason (my USP is so heavy it isn't always convenient to carry).

Ruger LCR 38 Spl for pocket carry and my SP101 for belt carry. I like revolvers that begin with Ruger so I'm a little bias.

Hello..good post. Received S&W Sigma .40 for late Xmas, and will shoot first time tomorrow, Sunday 02/08/09. I intend to use this as my CCW as
my 1911 is just too heavy, although since I am still pretty big, 6'4 @ almost 300 lbs, when I carry I use the "fanny PAck" deal I got from the
store down the road (chpr thn dirt) and it just rips down for easy grab,
so I still use the 1911 such as a long drives.

DOnt know much of the Sigma except what I have studied since getting it, as my receiving it is a very special story in itself. I believe it is a weapon that got them in legal trouble with GLock, as with slide off, it appears to be a very close Glock (type) unit. I heard they either HAD a bad trigger/
striker set up, and yet have heard that trigger originally wasnt so bad, but made bad to appease Glock...anyway, even though not shot till tomorrow,
I have removed item(s) affecting this and as I learned it from others on the web, their photos of early Sigma .40 ( before VE ) indeed show no such mods/manufacture as is lately done.

Anyway, as said, for very special reason to me, will try this Sigma for carry, after I put 500 through tomorrow. If it shoots as I expect, then I will be happy with weight and size. For my self and family's defense, it is just my opinion ( of course current finances factored ) that with the way I still shoot, when the balls are removed from their eyes, brain or chest...
the ME wont know at that moment in time if I used a Wlther, Kimber,
H&K, FN, ..BMW..Merceded, etc. This is my current opinion then,
an arm of the S&W/GLock 4" composite assembly should be ablre to be
made comfortable for constant carry.

Thanks and good post..post some more!!

I would choose the .38, just slip it in your pocket, and off you go!
