How hard is it to bore a .22lr bolt gun to accept the .22mag. and would the old style rifling stabilize this round at it`s speed? What is the twist rate for the "lr" vs`s the mag.? Thanks LTS

The LR goes 1:16, the Mag is the same. You dont get into faster twists until you get to .223 Rem.

The rechambering is very simple. The problem is the overall length of the cartridge functioning and feeding.

Was thinking on turning one of these cheap romanians into a single shot and filling in the mag well or blocking it. Has a strong bolt and massive receiver for a .22. Just pondering the thought, while building another. Thanks LTS
