While I can agree with spirit of this idea, I see two major flaws with the plan.

1. Simply telling congress to stop spending is too vague a message to produce any results without telling them what to stop spending on. You must first decide what programs you want to cut back on or eliminate. Defense? Medicare? Education? Veterans services? The Space program? Infrastructure?

These clowns aren't smart enough to prioritize so they must be told for example, "We want you to curtail the national endowment for the arts", " "No more grants to private and faith based organizations providing community services" etc. If we aren't specific there's no telling what they'll eliminate and what they'll keep spending on.

2. It seems to me that the actions which have caused this grassroots effort are already a done deal. the stimulus bill is law. They have already committed us to bankruptcy. Can they get back any of the funds already spent on failing private industries? Can they rescind the stimulus bill?

Again, it is not that I'm opposed to doing whatever we can do, but I'm tired of beating my head against a wall on feel good campaigns that produce no results.

I believe that half the stimulus bill isn't due to be spent for 2 years....and YES! We're law abiding citizens....I'd like to know why OUR money is going toward the ILLEGAL operations of ACORN and some other ILLEGAL bodies of government that are essentially for the Democratic Party's gain.

There's 4 Billion right there!

They can also get back ALL of the campaign contributions that were given to our illustrious leaders from ALL the bailed out companies AFTER they got the bail out money! I don't recall being asked if I wanted MY money donated to the socialist party!

I'm at work right now....so I've got to keep this short....

It's tax season....bah humbug
