Reply Era of WORLD Military History you like most

We did this for American Mil History, let's do it for ALL History. Just checking for interests, what era do you like to read, research, learn about the MOST?

Since this IS a Gun Site, we'll use gunpowder as a parameter...
Pre-Gunpowder
Invention of Gunpowder to Age of Bonaparte
Napoleon, to the invention of smokeless powder.
Age of Rifles, to end of World War II
Modern, end of WWII to present.

Aw, Shucks! Choices, choices, choices!

Can get more out of the 20th Century warfare than any of the others, but that doesn't mean the others aren't interesting, if written by a writer rather than a compilier of stats and footnotes. Just hate it when you gotta flip back and forth to get the whole story of an event.
