Any suggestions on a barrel for my 700 Ultra Mag? I want one that is fluted, with flutes a darker color than barrel.
Thanks, Fred J.

Check with the Montana Rifleman
www.montanarifleman.com Top quality barrels and they will make them to any shape, length, flutes or style that you wish. The barrels shoot less than moa everytime if the gunsmith does his job. The prices are right and they a fantastic people to deal with. In stainless, you could polish the barrel and bead blast the flutes. Blued, you would have to blue the barrel and either polish the barrel and bead blast the flutes prior to bluing or blue the barrel and paint the flutes. Either way you would end up with a very nice looking firearm. Good shooting, John K

...or you could get a solid (unfluted) carbon fiber barrel.....customed colored/custom made. Several companies are out there, bull barrel accuracy without the weight or wondering zero.
Christian-son Arms (?) too late for brain power. Oldest name in carbon fiber custom barrels, maybe the origin-aters. LTS |
