Does anyone have one of these and if so what group can you get at around 20 yards?(off sandbag rest). 1 inch 2inches 3 inches??? What would you expect? Also if you have any other 1911's what group do you get at 20 yards?? I want to see if mine is about what it should be as far as accuracy. Thanks

What kind of groups are you gettin? I've never put mine on a bag or rest, so I don't know what mine will do. (Its not a SA, though) I just put in a new barrel, so now mine is a whole lot more accurate than it was, but off-hand results are more what I'm after.

30 ft is about as far out as I've shot mine (milspec). I'm happy with groups about the size of a grapefruit shooting offhand (8 + 1). This is also my edc gun so I'm more interested in sd scenarios. Sorry I can't help more. I know it's accurate enough that I can't blame the gun.

The SA "loaded" model should produce 2" groups or a bit less at 25 yds with match ammo.

I haven't done much bullseye shooting with my Springfield (tu-tone model with fixed-sights and factory barrel/bushing for now), but it consistently will hit bowling pin and 6" popper plates out to 25yds with Winchester or Remington "white box" hardball.
With cast 230gr LRN reloads I'm usually about 4" @ 15yds offhand. That's about my offhand accuracy limit and I haven't shot it off a rest at all yet. |
