Question Should I or Shouldn't I

Should I turn my Norinco into a Resident Evil Custom I would do this by sending off various small parts like the trigger etc to be hard chromed. I would buy a stainless barrel and a set of Pachmayr American Legend Grips

That is the essence of the beauty of a 1911, it becomes your own.

Only you can decide how and why to customize.

If you like it, go for it But we need pictures afterwards if you do it

Obviously, you have access to a PC, and a digital camera doesn't cost an arm and a leg. It will also come with the software you need to down load the pics to your PC.

Lamentations Chapter 5:

2. Our inheritance is turned to strangers, our houses to aliens.
3. We are orphans and fatherless, our mothers [are] as widows.
5. Our necks [are] under persecution: we labour, [and] have no rest.
16. The crown is fallen [from] our head: woe unto us, that we have sinned!
21. Turn thou us unto thee, O LORD, and we shall be turned; renew our days as of old.

I have a PC, but no camera, so I'm in pretty much the same boat

The Norinco 1911 is an excellent platform for custom work.
