my local range has some Kimbers for rentals. members don't have to pay to use the rental guns, but do have to buy range ammo. welllll, i bought a bag of 45acp and got the gold match (is that right?) kimber.

what a nice shooting gun! i thought it would be this big, bad thing shooting these huge slugs. nope. hardly any recoil. much, much less than our 9mm. may need to buy one for the missus someday.

what really made this happen (borrowing the kimber) was that the range also has a H&K 45acp magazine fed semi auto rifle. interesting thing, but i tired of it and got the kimber to finish off the range bought ammo.

anyhow, thought i'd share with y'all what y'all already know.

The Kimber is a fine 1911. Alot of us here think everyone should own 2 or more. At some point in time, you will.

The first thing I did after getting my Custom CDP II was to get rid of my other .45

You're not suupposed to "get rid" of any...just keep pilin' 'em up.

That is what I hear anyway...I mean, I personally don't have any guns yet...at all. Nope. Not me.

After collecting a bunch, you have to find a place to store them.
