Default Best Bore Cleaner

Can anyone let me know what is the best cleaner/lube to use on muzzleloaders? Any difference in a substance used to clean between shots and one to thoroughly clean up after a days shoot?

Two schools of thought. If you firearm is a modern and you can take it apart.
Hot soapy water and patches. So hot that the metal will dry itself.

The second would be Thompson Center's 1000+ products. If you use thier patches, bore butter and cleaner. Your rifle will never be dirty, and you cna fire for days without cleaning.

either way:

NEVER USE PETROLIUM BASED OILs

Black powder reacts to oil, and turns to sludge.

Do the hot soapy water wash, rinse with hot clear water, then lube with T/C 1000+.

You will be the evny of the crowd, how still insist on using oils, or modern cleaning stuff on bore stuffers
