Question Interested in an AR-15. Which way to go?

I have read some info that you can build your own AR-15 from various manufactures.

What route is best/cheaper?

What to look for?

Where to start?

I would say it is wise to read the "build it yourself" forum over at AR15.

I built one about 20 years ago using a Bushmaster lower and military issue parts that I somehow acquired. The whole rifle cost me $186.00 to build.

Two of my builds:
This one is pretty much the way it is. I do have a YHC BUIS for it tho.

This one has all sorts of add ons.
Crappy pic of the bipod as its not really attached (just resting on it).
