I have in my possession a 1st Ranger Battalion Knife which was purchased in the early 70's from the Shotgun News by my father. He corresponded with M.H. Cole, the noted author and expert, about the knife and it mystified Mr. Cole. The blade is stamped with "CASE" on the left hand side, parallel to the spine. Mr. Cole was not aware of Case producing any of these knives. Does anyone have more recent information on this knife? Did Case ever produce any of these knives? If you have any information, please e-mail me at fswlc@uaf.edu. Thanks.

You have a Case 334 USMC knife.

Go to the bottom of the page and do a Google search. Type in " Case USMC knife". The knife is still available.
