Default Skulls (Thomas and others)

I know that Kutaho likes skulls as much as I do, so I snapped a shot of this necklace/choker that I made. It is hung around a southwest style lamp in the front room.

Just thought that a few like minded folks may enjoy it.

OK, I am not playing troll but can someone please enlighten me about the fascination with skulls? I see them as tats, on clothing, on biker gear. This is a serious question from an old guy. Please, keep the thread on topic and if we don't want to talk about it here I'll gladly delete the question so as to not get too much thread drift.
BTW I picked up a fawn skull just the other day while out in the woods.
Neat necklace.

I just like the way they look; maybe somehow peering out from the after-life; a reminder that it will end someday; so live it today and make it mean something.
And hey, this is a skulls thread, so if it has to do with skulls, then by all means!! Nothing wrong or odd with your question at all, Oldogy!

Oldology, I don't remember why this got started but every birthday for the last 30 years in our family we gave this skull. Each person that get's the skull has to repaint it a different color and give it to the next persons birthday coming up.
