So I tried this tonight. It's SPAM with the bacon in it, with some smoke flavor added. I had mine in a sandwich with tomato, wished I had lettuce to make a "reinforced" BLT.
Not as bad as you might think.

Did you buy it that way, or are you talking about adding the bacon and smoke flavoring yourself?
I haven't had SPAM in YEARS, other than the daily hundred in my in box - - I kinda liked the stuff, though, actually -

I like spam on occasion. Haven't tried the bacon flavored version though

We eat spam at least once a week. Love it sliced thick on a sandwich, with Miracle Whip, mustard, letuce, tomatoes, pickels, and onion. Fry it up for breakfast. Chunk it up, and dump it in with a package of Pasta-Roni (Alfredo). On a fishing, or hunting trip, I just eat it out of the can. I have roasted it over a camp fire on a forked stick. I have even poured BBQ sause over it, wrapped it up in tin-foil, and baked it in the oven!

We visited the Spam museum in July. Got to try out the different flavors, some good, others great, others yuck.
The bacon flavor is good for a thick BLT. The smoked is yuck, with cheese is different, the hot & spicy is good, the lite is just plain terrible. The original can't be beat. |

Yes, Vienna Sausages are real animals. They are small fur covered animals that live in the top of redwood trees and it takes a lot of people to shake them out of the trees. It takes about five of them of them to fill a can. They are closely related to sloths.

I usually don't eat spam myself, but the bacon variety got me curious. Yep, it's right in the can, it's not just flavored but actually contains bacon.
Some time back I tried the BBQ flavor, it wasn't bad either.

I'll be taking my first sample while on a fishing trip up on the N Brazos on Tue and Wed. Me and a few guys from work are heading up for some kayaking/fishing excursion. Figured it would be great camp fare! SPAM is good, SPAM with bacon, must only be better !!

When my younger son was little he just had to have some Spam. Luckily the grocery store had a very small can. I open the can and he had a look of horror on his face. I fried it up and made a sandwich for him. It wasn't fifteen minutes and well let's just say he doesn't like Spam.

Maybe it was just the fact that I hadn't eaten anything for most of the day, but that stuff is Good Eats !! Cracked the can and put it over the coals to heat it up a little, then sliced thin with some saltines and washed down with a couple of cold ones.( a couple of trip pics posting up on the TFF Family thread very soon )
