Could someone please tell me how the stock is removed from the receiver of an Ithaca Flues SBT.

I don't know that particular gun, but most shotguns have a threaded stud on the back of the receiver that goes into a hole in the front of the stock, and a long bolt that goes in a hole in the back of the stock. Bolt attaches stock to receiver, and the hole in the stock is hidden by the buttplate or recoil pad.

Bushmaster....
I've been looking for a blow up....but have not found one for the single barrel guns. My guess is that it's like there double guns of the that period, Vertical screws (2) through the upper and lower tangs that extend back of the reciever. Most likely screw in from the top side. The also could be a screw running cross wise if the gun has side plates. Best I can do.... Hope this helps, Kirk |
