Thumbs down R and R Arms BEWARE!!!!!

I ordered a NEW Smith and Wesson model 500 from R and R Arms,(big mistake)
They said they would ship overnight but it would take a week before they shipped(?)
At last the gun came in!!!
I opened the box to find a used gun!
Also the rear sight was broken!( Broken PIECE NOT IN BOX)
The cylinder was scuffed.
The Smith and Wesson paper was shredded(I have opened well over 200 new smith and Wesson and I know what they look like when new)
The timing was off.
The frame showed erosion over the forcing cone
The gun was dirty

Of course I called R and R at once.
They said "We do not look at the guns before we ship them"
They offered to call Smith and check on this gun.

Now (you can't make this stuff up) Smith sent me rear site for me to install!!(sorry sir since you worked on the gun you voided the warranty)
Then they sent me New wrapping paper(I did not care about the wrapping paper but it was evidence the gun was not new)
Called R and R they said sometimes Smith sends guns out like this!! Also "Smth shoots these a lot"
More phone calls and emails.
I said I just wanted to return the gun.
They said "We may have to eat this gun"
At long last I returned the gun and got most of my money back.
If it meant given up my lifelong gun hobby I would do that before dealing with these clowns again.

Thanks for the detailed heads up; I won't be looking around their site. Welcome to TFF, hope to get to "know" you a little better, sounds like you'll find the Revolver section to your liking!
