Hi everybody,
I have a question concerning the American copy of the French VB rifle grenades in WW1. I'm looking for information how the American grenade differes from the French one. Both grenades look the same on the first view. Are there any different markings? I have the American launcher "US Model of 1917" and looking for a deactivated American made grenade for it. But first of all I have to know how to differ the copy from the French original. Thanks and best wishes Michael

Patrick, aka 1886lebel on the Surplus Rifle Forums is a wealth of information on these, he has several in his collection, and some copies they use in reenactments. Pat is a great guy, contact him and I'm sure he'll be more than happy to help you.
