Default New .45 from Smith

Y'all seen that new 625-10 from Smith? Talk about a reincarnation of the old Fitz Special!!! I'm sure its a bit bulky, but what a awsome hide-out gun!! Wonder if they'll ever make it with a Ti cylinder?

There's an article in this months G&A and Combat Handguns. Its a Scandium N frame smith. They put a 45ACP cylinder in it, but its just long enough for the 45ACP round, so it does not fill up the N frame cylinder window. They make up the difference by pushing a 2.5" barrell deep into the frame, closing the gap with the shorter cylinder. Makes it look like it has about a 1" barrell. Or, like one of the writers said, it looks like a snub nose that was dropped barrell first on to concrete. Fixed sights - six rounds - moon clips. Not pretty, but looks REAL functional as a belly gun.

Looks like a winner to me, especially as an ankle gun!

The Model 625 is shown in the new 2004 catalogue as having a 2" barrel. Here is where to look:

SW 625

If I were in the market, I'd certainly give it a very HARD look!

Yeah, if you've got Rosie O'Donnell's ankles.

If you put a propeller on the front, it would look just like the old Brewster Buffalo.

I'm with you on the Postal - I got one of the last Ti 38's without the lock. Now they make the same gun in 357 - but it has a lock. I've toyed with trading - but can't make myself do it.

I figure its only a matter of time before those locks malfunction.

Wow,
You read my mind on the fat ankles and I knew it reminded me of something but I was thinking about a BeeGee Racer!
