Default Citadel Compact 1911

While I was on vacation last week I stopped by Double D's gun shop down in Live Oak, FL. While I was there, he showed me this compact 1911 made by Citadel. I had never heard of that company but the pistol looked good and I thought it shot very good (Dan let me take it out back of his shop and fire it), so I bought it and had him ship it to my local gun shop. It came today, here is a picture of it.

Citadel's are now imported by Legacy (same company - Rock Island Armory). They are the same/similar to the Charles Daly's when they were with Armscor (Charles Daly is now associated with Bul in Israel). I have seen them as low as $480.00 or so .... new - normally they run a little more. I understand they are pretty good.

Not bad pistols for the money. My son bought one and after i did some accuracy-reliability work on it, shot some decent groups. Pick up a couple of Wilson Combat mags and remember to keep the recoil spring changed and it will serve you well.

Thank you for the information and for the advice about the mags.

I hope you like it. I thought it shot well and has a good trigger. Good luck with it!
