Default Range day

Sorry about the multiple threads. Please disregard my other threads. I was trying to edit and accidentally posted new threads. But this is the one I wanted to post.

Got out to the range with my RIA 1911. Went with my buddy from work who has a Colt M1991A1 3 1/2" .45.

Here's a few pics from that. Also went to a gun show in Jefferson for awhile and bought some semi-wadcutters. My buddy recommended them and says they are very accurate. Anyone ever used SWCs before? I hear I will have to clean my gun well after shooting them because they are unjacketed.

If you look at one of my older targets, which are posted below, you can see that I am getting better. I tried aiming my gun a little below center for a few mags, and a little above for a few mags, then dead on. Seemed like lining up my sights slightly above center gave me the best accuracy. I was shooting with Remington 230-gr FMJ .45ACP for this range trip. I hope to get out and try out the SWC's soon.

Here's an older target for comparison.

I load and shoot 200gr LSWC in all my 1911's. They are a great shooting bullet and it is no problem cleaning your barrel. All you need is medium bronze wool from most any hardware store.

Here is a recent link about the same topic.
