I know that the 1911 style 45's that I have, that I use a bushing wrench on is because the bushing itself is good and tight. The one on my series 70 I fitted my self and got rid of the finger type bushing for a solid one. It is my understanding that this will make for better accuracy for the pistol. So I believe that a tight fitting bushing is better, that I have to use a wrench on, than a loose one that I can take off by hand.
