Someone sent me the link below which is a virtual wall of all those lost during the Viet Nam war with the names, bio's and other information on our lost comrades. It is a very interesting link, and those who served in that timeframe and lost friends or family can look them up on this site. Pass it on to others who you think would like this. First, click on a state......then when it opens ..........scroll down to the city, the names will appear ....... then click on their names ..........it should show you a picture of the person or at least his bio and medals...... ....... I OFTEN WRITE ABOUT MARVIN SHIELDS. SHIELDS WAS A FORMER STUDENT OF MINE IN 1965 WHEN I WAS TEACHING NUCLEAR, BIOLOGICAL, CHEMICAL WARFARE SUBJECTS AT THE SEABEE BASE IN CALIFORNIA. MARVIN WAS FROM PORT TOWNSEND, WASHINGTON. PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AND READ THE STORY OF WHY MARVIN SHIELDS WAS AWARDED THE MEDAL OF HONOR...THE ONLY EVER AWARDED TO A NAVY SEABEE.
