I recently pulled out my great grandfather's model 41. I have a young son and want to restore this gun to be his first rifle. It needs alot of work cosmetically, but it still fires (shot it a few weeks ago). The only big problem is that it does not have a trigger guard. I have searched the web EVERYWHERE and can't find ANYWHERE. I'm not planning on ever selling this gun and am not concerned with keeping it valuable, just a nice looking gun to pass on to my son. That being said, I have found a Remington Targetmaster Model 510 trigger guard. That gun is built VERY close to the 41 and the trigger guard also looks very close. Will it fit my gun? are any of the parts interchangeable? Thanks!

My grandfather has said it was the best shooting gun he ever owned. Thanks for the feedback!
