The gray dingus what looks like a probe goes through the hole in the white dingus and goes into the bore. You look through the scope and theoretically align the crosshairs with the bore. Those caps are "aperture caps" and fit scopes up to 40mm objective bell diameter. The other dingus is supposed to measure the height of your line-of-sight above the bore. $8.99 new, give or take, but OK.
