Bobtail Round-Butt?

I'm in the mind to customize my 1911 Government Colt 45.
Ed Brown Products customizes Gov. Model frames.
Anybody know about this type of modification?
Have any of you seen or come across this conversion
first hand?
Appreciate any
information you may
provide.

CharlieD, I have shot one of these pistols w/rounded butt and mainspring housing. The modification was made to help conceal the pistol better. It may look cool but definately not made for shooting. All my shots went r-e-a-l-l-y low.
Now, if you are a shooter, you know how important the shape of the mainspring housing is.
In my honest opinion, this modification is not worth the $$ unless you just carry the pistol and never shoot it.
