The chechen capability to destroy with weird sub-standard workshop arms is amazing.. These arms look silly. Especially the imitation ak, squad MG, and HMG

The funniest part is grouping the 5.5 Velo Dog (a real cartridge) with those monster rounds in that monster pistol. Elmer Keith would have loved it! Well, except for the 5.5mm.

Why didn't you identify them? Some of the younger folks might not recognize that Dardick 38, there, that fired trounds. Or that 13mm Gyrojet rocket pistol.

The ''trounds'' ,trianglular ammo that was caseless, for the dardick are worth more than the gun if you can find them

Trounds were not caseless. They were standard .38 Special cartridges encased in triangular nylon sleeves.
The MBA Gyrojet cartridges were "caseless" in that they were self-contained rockets.

will be picking up a copy of firearms curiosa sometime soon i think. i seen the gyrojet on tv a while back... was really neat, they said the little rockets would have such trouble over coming the power of the hammer spring that they would sometimes have only enough energy left to just fall out of the bore

Dardick trounds were made two ways - as cartridges in themselves and as shells into which conventional cartridges were inserted. One of Dardick's claims was that more ammo could be gotten into the magazine using trounds, but that was hype and incorrect. The tround merely filled in the triangular gaps between round cartridges.

Quite a few writers claimed the Dardick was a super gun and the wave of the future, the same as they say about every flaky idea. The simple fact is that the Dardick was bulky, had a fixed magazine, and never had any real advantages over a conventional auto pistol. Dardick was never able to get funding and only a few guns were made. For a while, Numrich listed all the parts in the catalog, and some guns were built (at high cost) from those.

Yes, the Fosbery is unusual. Here is another one in .455 caliber in juxtiposition with a .44 mag. Mateba automatic revolver. Two automatic revolvers.

Another odd handgun. A .500 caliber Tranter. The .500 Tranter round is shorter than the .500 S&W, and loaded with black powder.

Unusual to me at least - the only one I've made so far, 12 gauge, six shooter, under lever rotates and cocks it, loads like a Colt SAA.
