Has anyone installed a “side saddle” shell holder on the side of their Remington 870 and if you did, how exactly was it installed? Does it firmly keep hold onto the shell durring heavy loads?
Thanks for your help.

We use the side saddle mount from Scattergun Technologies for our "MeanStick" combat shotguns. It mounts to the side of the receiver using threaded bolts to replace the crosspins. Stays secure with 3" OO-Buck, no problem.

I've used these heavily in tactical shotgun courses, where we fired upwards of 300 rounds a day for 3 days in a row. They will eventually start to work their way loose, but as I'm sure you can imagine, lotsa things on the gun (and our bodies!) were working loose after that kind of abuse.

i wish they could fit on the factory folders ,they dont fit with the top folders ,other draw back is you have to make sure your forearm will work with it ,or you will have to chop it down or purchase a small side saddle ,they make one that holds four so you don't have to cut on the forearm ,{and it don't work with the folder either}
