A friend inherited a Colt .45 auto pistol with a gold slide and a nickel frame. It's a 70 series, 5 inch barrel and didn't get a look at the serial #. Can anyone give me any history and value?

Obviously an after-market pimp job. May have decreased the price significantly. Need pics, numbers, etc

As stated, with out serial numbers and pictures, it is a Colt 1911 with an after market plating. Still a nice gun and would look good in church. I'm sure if it was a commemorative you would have said something about the various markings. I think?
