Default Savage Model 64 BTV

I'm looking into getting a .22LR Semi Auto and I really like the looks of the Savage 64 BTV I was wondering if anyone on this forum has one and if so what do you think of it.

My Dad has one and went through some teething problems with it,but nothing that wasn't solved after a proper break in.
He has about 1500 rounds through it and has no problems.
I would recommend looking at Marlin, they have great out of the box accuracy.
