That's precisely what you have...an H&R (model) "Premier DA" in .32 S&W.
It had several barrel options...2", 3", 4", 5", & 6"...whatever the customer felt like ordering...
they were available thru the mail. The 32 was a 5-shot weighing about 12 oz, with fixed sights.
Could be Blued or have a Nickel finish. Nickel being more desireable.

Also known as a "32 Break-top with hammer".

Discontinued in 1941.
Some nice person at H&R might be able to give you more info by serial number.

These are not high-value collectables...most sold thru the 1990's-early 2000's for around $80-120.

The .22 version had a 7-shot cylinder.

Default Re: h&r premier 32

the only correction to the above post is H&R did not call this a "PREMIER D.A." just "PREMIER", and that was not always marked on the revolvers. the double action was used on the boxes they came in and in the catalogs but never marked on the revolvers themselves.

if this revolver only fires double action then the single action sear is either broken or missing.

the last person to know anything about these revolvers at the current H&R 1871 retired in 2000 when marlin took over. he had worked there since about 1968 or so.
