My Best Iron Sighted Shot to Date

300 yards on a 2 inch sphere using an Eddystone US Model of 1917, 30-06.

I had just got my seating depth to where I wanted it and was testing with my last cartridge loaded and hit the mark!

Long story short: I was shooting some A-Maxes a few days before and my POI was 8 inches lower than it was supposed to be. I noticed my seating depth was wrong so I set them to the correct length and the POI matched my POA.
Then when I switched to the Match bullets, my POI was low with the first 3 shots like the A-Maxes, so I adjusted my seating depth with them also; the fourth shot hit the mark.

One thing is... I never clean the neck totally and I think these old military cases may have residue that grips the bullet over time. When I moved the bullet to get my new seating depth, it made a snap as if it was glued into place.
I am thinking that the stuck fast bullet may have been the culprit instead of the seating depth. I'm pretty sure the extra jump the bullet gets makes it a little faster and in turn raises the POI though. But I do know the seating depth was wrong on the A-Maxes.
The cartridges were loaded a month or so before I shot them, I will age these ones I had just loaded and try again in a month or so, using the seating depth that worked.

Rifle: Eddystone US Model of 1917, 30-06, (manufactured in 1918)
Bullet: Hornady 168gr Match
Case: Old Military, (EW 46?)
Powder: IMR 4064
Primer Rem 9 1/2

Hit it with my 30-30 while adjusting the sights.

It isn't all that impressive since there are 8 shots involved, but I still think it is cool.
