I've had two in years past, neither were reliable and only marginally accurate, as a stock Ruger 10-22 was far more accurate and reliable. The first was bought in '69 IIRC and other was a Charter Arms, bought hoping it was accurate enough to hunt with. Sad to say they were not and I bought a Marlin Papoose and it was perfect, it got stolen or I would still have that one. I tied a new Henry last spring and it was better then first two, but again not close to the old Papoose and got rid of it after 2 months. I also didn't like the ergonomics, then walked into a local pushers shop and there it was a brand new Papoose, and it was stainless steel. It is at a local gun smith now for D&T the barrel for scope mounts, like on the old blued one I had years ago.

If I had known that Marlin had these back in production I would not bought the Henry. The good thing about the Henry was it was cheap, IIRC $175 and the new Marlin $247 OTD. The Papoose has a full size standard stock behind the action, and it's just like grabbing up a Marlin 795 SS except no forearm stock.
