I have made a deal like never before..
i've made a few dud deals in the past with "original " or BNIB stuff from this period and this one worried me a tad too but the Post lady just delivered 5 new but aged late 50's period spare barrels for the Model 12 Lithgow Rifle < made for Slazenger (Aust) Ltd the chromed lands are beautiful on each one ( grease in the bore) but there is some surface corrosion on all exteriors.. i traded 1000 rounds of 7.62 x 39 for em ( plus freight there for the ammo and freight for the barrels to here) i still think its way cheap

All I can say is Good For You. It's nice to hear about people getting a brake on a trade when both partys are happy.
How ever now that you've mentioned the trade , we'r all waiting for you to barrel up the puppys and tell us how well they shoot. Have a good one |

that too will have to wait until i get the new workshop finished... i should get it to lock up and tool usable in a month or two , just the weather has been lousy ( where the hell is this global warming ???)
i'm thinking a nice falling block single shot bunny gun , these are excellent barrels ( or i'll see when i shoot them ) i'm partial to the chicopee style rifle for .22's and .223's dunno why .. Last edited by jack404; 11-04-2010 at 12:47 AM.. |

Any pictures of what a Model 12 Slazenger rifle looks like? Never heard of it. I have a Lithgow No 1 Mk 3 with all slazenger wood, but didn't know they made guns to.
