Happy to say I went out and got a new Taurus 1911 .45...been wanting one of these guns for a very long time and I found one that is custom and has a great color combo on it. Its probably the first gun I have ever bought that I immediatly didnt want to add something too...

You got the PT1911 lite. Very nice guns IMO. I have a PT from when they very first released. Good shooters.

That is a great way for anyone to start their week. Nice gun....enjoy it. Don't be too alarmed if you initially have some feeding problems. Brand spanking new 1911's can be a little finicky until broken in.

On a very nice weapon. Love the contrast of the black and brushed.

I own a Millenium Pro PT-111 in 9mm and a .380 TCP. I like both of them very much, and have had zero operational problems with either one of them. Good Luck and enjoy!

I found it at a Gun Show south of Nashville, TN. The guys who customized it are out of Cleveland, TN and they used Duracoat for this color combo. Thanks for all the compliments guys

Did the custom shop do a slide melt?
It looks like it has been smoothed over the length of the slide, very nice! And great color combo, don't forget to give us a range report. When you do, post a link to it on this thread so, we won't miss it. I'll be wait'n. ![]() Last edited by mesinge2; 11-14-2010 at 08:02 AM.. |

My only dislike about the Taurus PT1911 is the grips they use. I shot one of the rentals at the range and the grips aren't the most comfortable. But you do get a lot of the features of more high-end guns at a better price.
