Default Hey Woodnut!

Bam! You are a true craftsman sir. The grips are what make it work.

Thanks for posting these Eric. You did a good job of picking the grips. Sorta seems like they were made for the gun, or the gun was made for the grips.
I like the gun very mich.
Thanks again.

Ok, someone please describe the grips other than being beautiful. They are very nice so please elaborate.

Grips are buckeye and hollyland olive (correct me if Im wrong Woodnut) The wood grain of the buckeye is what inspired the hand engraved pattern on the slide and the french gray chase and finish. The grips came first which inspired the latter. The tight grain on the right grip has a gold tint which is why the gold was added to what you see plus it tied into the hollyland olive.

Yes, Helix is right. It is some thin pieces of wood that I had laying around the shop that was unusable for grips, so I laminated them giving me the thickness that was needed to make the grips. Helix had told me something like what he wanted from a pair that I had made before like this. The bottom, like he said is Olive wood from the Holly land, the overlay is stabilized Buckeye Burl, which is a beautiful wood.
