Default an Early Christmas

I wanted to do something special for my son, so I picked up a heavily worn Commander with the nickel finish. I basically gutted it and replaced everything with Wilson internals and a Wilson beavertail.I completely dehorned the gun, stippled the front strap and MSH as well as rounding the bottom of the MSH & frame. Slicked up the trigger to 4.5lbs with no creep, that breaks like glass and fitted an extended slide release. I sent the gun to CCR in Tennessee. They stripped off the old worn nickel and applied their basic black finish. I delivered the gun to my son today after lunch. He is still in shock!

And they say the G19 is the finest carry gun..... I love Glocks but its hard to beat a Comander. The original perfect carry gun. I like Colts best when it comes to 1911s anyway.....

Tex, remember that wild night some years ago I think I'm your long lost son. Hopefully you will remember me at Christmas time also.

That is one beautiful piece. Your son is a lucky guy to have a dad like you.

Let your gun therefore be your constant companion of your walks." --Thomas Jefferson, letter to Peter Carr, 1785

Thank you all, it was truly a gift from the heart of a Father to his oldest Son. Now I have to do one for the younger son as well. He prefers the Government Model.
