Question Remington 597 aperature sight setup?

Has anyone put a receiver sight on their 597?
What model did you go with and did you need to go with a higher front sight too?

Sorry I didn't see this sooner. The Techsight for the Marlin works with a little filing to the rear sight or the dovetail. The Marlin is 3/8" and the 597 is 11mm. Other than that, I've seen a couple of other installs over at rimfirecentral.com using a couple of different William's Sight adaptations.

Hope this helps...
