This boxlock w/screw barrel is marked bermingham proof crown - X - V. I was told it might sell for around $400. Does anyone think I could sell for $250 - $300? If so where might I go to sell it? thanks, gfleet

It looks clean and un-messed-around-with. If the lock is functional, springs OK, stands cocked, and barrel will unscrew, etc I think most any dealer would pay $250. If barrel is stuck don't try to turn it with pliers, etc. There is something of a tecnique to it.

FWIW, that "North" and "South'ton" is not something associated with the American Civil War; the gun was made by Thomas North, of Southhampton, England, who was active from 1820 to 1832.
