Default I am stiff from head to toe.....

After having been layed off for 3+ months, gained weight, become acustomed to sleeping 12 to 14 hours a day...I have found it a real ***** to go back to work. But I did....and like nothing ever happened.
It turns out running arround with a 55lb drill all day long, for 5 days in a row is not good for an out of shape person......
Pulled 3 muscles.....they ain't happy with me for sure.

I don't think I have EVER been this beat up and sore in my ENTIRE life......

I keep thinking that if I would have only known back in 84 that I should put every dime I made into Microsoft stock.....cause if I had....I would now be retired....living in mexico.....driving a Porche or some other fast car.....***** women all arround me......
Oh yeah........

(big sigh).

Oh well.....

At least I'm gettin payed to bust rocks....
A teacher back in school knew I'd be doing that much, he just did'nt think I'd be gettin payed for it...

I am sorry to hear about the physical stress, but hard work is what makes this nation great. , unlike the degenerate socialist nations of Europe , who get two months worth of vacation, we Americans prefer to be productive and take personal responsibility.
Your body will need time to get used to the new demands that you are placing on it and with time, your budget and your bills will adjust as well, and after paying bills and general expenses, as well as charitable contributions, you will still have enough left over to purchase new firearms and accessories to add to your arsenal and that should bring a smile to your face. , It will not be easy, but with a carefully sustained plan and your executing it with patience, should do the trick.

Poor GN. But just think, you're getting back in shape just in time for tourist season and all the lovely ladies you like to watch from behind dark shades.

I know just where you are. I'm a long way out of shape, and just this week started on stage three of renovation/extensions.
The first thing I did was pop my trapisiod muscle (correct spelling optional) unloading and stacking timber. Fortunatly I have hired a high school kid to labour for me (semester break down here),
and he's shaping up pretty good. So, for the last three days he's been doin it all while I supervise. Sheesh but it's frustrating

Ahhhh well, that's the way it goes
The doc reckons I'll be back into it in about a week, in the meantime it's anti-inflams, heat and rest.

I would not call it soft. I would call it a shifting of gears.

Little blue pills, stiff from head to toe, being soft, breaking your rocks off. It is a good idea to leave this one alone, just don't be alone.

No really, can you say I - B - PRO - FIN.

Glocknut, you are such a bad influence on me! Shame, shame.

I think it is more appropriate to say :

" Others have yet to earn my trust " as in subjectivity

As for me I`m ok but I`m not going to hijack the post.

As for glocknut, you work out along with your new work.

I used to be fit as well, but then some stuff happend and well I`m not so fit anymore ( though I`ve seen worse days ).

Might be a question of diet as well if you not only feel numb but as in gaining fat and losing muscles over a period of not being as active as before.

I am often tempted by fatty foods and high carb snacks. I try to stay vigilant , but its so difficult.
I have often prayed about it. The thing with exercise it that I have to enjoy it to do it. So I try to stay fit by focusing on activities that I enjoy like shooting, hunting, fishing, etc.

My job (see username) has me sitting at a desk in front of a computer most of the time. The only real exercise I get at work is the occasional site visit, and that is just walking around.

Recently, I found a fun way to get in better shape by taking Aikido classes. I have only been to two beginner classes so far, but I had a great time and think this is something I will continue. Although I feel like a clumsy idiot at the end of class, I also leave with a lot of energy and know I will improve with time and practice.
