I have been a little slack in my posting duties here... I have a new pistol and haven't shown it off yet!
It is laser engraved for the 40th Aniversary of a professional organization I'm a member of. It is all steel and a double stack. It is HEAVY! Even empty you know you have something in your hands, but with 14 rounds of 45 ACP... it is a handful!

Nice looking pistol.
In 2010 I bought a couple of Para PXT1445s made for the Marines stationed at Camp Leathernect, Afghanistan. I had all kinds of mechanical failures and eventually sent them both back to Para under warranty. About four months they came back with parts replaced. Needless to say I was unhappy that pistols made for Marines were so darn unreliable, pretty yes, reliable no. http://www.para-usa.com/new/product_pistol.php?id=69 I'm now shooting a HK USP 45 and am overjoyed when compared to the Para. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heckler_%26_Koch_USP Hopefully you will have better luck than I did. There is no reason for Para to sell unreliable pistols. I would be curious to know about your accuracy. My Paras were very accurate, when they decided to fire. She's a beauty, no doubt. I rented one at a local range and my wife and I ran a bunch of WWB through it with no problems. Very accurate indeed! I liked the gun and it was high on my list of potential 1911's.
Please give us a range report on this beast when you get a chance. I would love to hear how it performs! |

Yes, nice.
I'm a Para fan [of course, I like a bunch of 'em]. My youngest has probably a dozen or more, shoots them often, without any problems. Thank God we live in America....we have so many choices.
