Yeah, Targets are the only real source of information nobody can argue with or lie about and really are the last word....
![]() I've posted targets and asked for opinions and it's cool how many knowledgeable people here can offer valuable advice, some merely confirming your own suspicions, some making you think about stuff you never considered. It has been and still is invaluable to me since I am working with a new to me varmint rifle, and have little benchrest experience. Post away! Even if you don't need advice we will give it anyway! ![]() Along with the proper amount praise or abuse as necessary..... ![]()

These guys are all posting targets shot with rifles, here's a couple shot with a pistol at 20'. First one was shot with a .45 1911A, the second with a Bull Dog Pug DAO.

Good shootin' Josh! I really like that squirrel gun accuracy! I haven't found the "right" ammo for mine yet, still looking! I'm pretty sure the rifle was shot benched, were the two hand guns also shot benched?

Dang Josh, those are fantastic. Shows you can not only make them but you can shoot them, handgun or rifle, and you didn't even post the results from the Savage.

No. I sold it. I gave the brass up for givaway this month. Bullshoot got it.
I didnt work with it too much. I started tinkering with savage actions and lost interest in the mini mauser. Appreciate the offer tho. That brass is top notch. Definitely wouldnt wanna waste it in no AK or SKS fa sho... ![]() Maybe someday Ill revisit the 7.62X39, but it will be with a .308 dia. bore. F that .310 business. there just aint enough options for it that are suitable to the little X39 cartridge...

see... thats what im talkin bout. Nice steve!
Best i could get with the mini mauser was around 2 inches at 100 yds. I believe it was because of the short fat profile of the 123 gr bullets and the excessively fast twist of the .310 bore, it was a 9 twist or a 9.5 twist i believe. If I went with a heavier bullet i lost too much velocity. Perfect would be a .308 bore, X39 chamber, 12 or 14 twist, hand lapped and an 11* crown. Semi or bolt, either would be SUB MOA with good handloads and bullets in the 110-125 gr range.
