Hey everyone, I'm taking this rifle to a gun show tomorrow to see what i can get for it. Its an H&R SB2 Ultra .223 with a Bushnell 6x-18x,50 Banner scope. Like new condition. No damage. Shoulder strap and stock cover w/bullet slots, if it matters. What should I expect to get for it? Thanks in advance!

NIB - this model in that caliber sells in the $279 - $290 range. With extras add another 50 bucks - used deduct maybe 20% - It really all depends upon the market in your neck of the woods and who has money and how much they want that type of set-up. If you sell it to a dealer he will most likely offer you less than or right at 200 bucks for the whole set-up. Find a private buyer and you may get $300 - this is simply my opinion based upon some experience with these firearms. Good luck and please surprise me with a higher selling price. Let us know how you make out - it may help someone else down the pike.

It has to be worth more than that. The scope itself is valued around $125.

Actually, Jim is pretty much right on point. $200 from a dealer and $300 private sale. "Retail" brand new on the scope is $120 and the rifle is $280, so you will probably find each at a gun show, brand new, for $100 and $260 respectively. Even unfired in the box, a "pre owned" one wont bring more than around $300 and thats top dollar.

Scopes are not much of a selling point unless the name starts with an L, Z, N, Night Force, etc.

A gun show is the worst place to try to sell something unless you're a dealer with a booth.
